Lance Knowling is coming back to Montclair! The restaurant space at 615 Bloomfield Avenue, formerly The Southern Belle, and previous to that, Table 8, will soon be the home of Indigo Kitchen.

Lance Knowling, the restauranteur, chef, and owner behind of Maplewood's Indigo Smoke Kitchen and Bar, will bringing his brand of Kansas City BBQ/Soul Food to Montclair restaurant scene.

According to Knowling,

"The cuisine is modern soul and will focus on familiar tastes with modern techniques and many new dishes. We will still offer some Indigo classics. The menus will be lighter, and will feature locally sourced products as much as possible."

The Indigo Smoke website states that the new Montclair space "will seat seventy people, and feature origninal art, warm colors, and great sounds."

Indigo Smoke previously operated in Montclair at 381 Bloomfield Ave, and closed in 2010.
